Quite a bit of retail therapy seems to have been going on.

This block is slowly being spiffed up, Jean. What I like here is the simple methods the architect used to add interest and elegance to the building. Some relief from the glass buildings going up all over Toronto (and which are ill-suited to a city with hot summers and cold winters).

This is two photos in a row with people in John................what's going on? :-))

The strong sunlight has brought out the shadow detail beautifully, especially of the two women and I like the numbered green canopies in each bottom corner. It's good too that the women are walking numerically in an upwards direction.

Well seen and taken. I hope you didn't have to wait to long until the women came along :-)

Thanks, Keith. You don't have to wait too long on Church Street. I just noticed I didn't handle the big shadow too well. Will have to soften the edges. Eventually.

So busy looking at the windows, and marveling that those at the bottom are turned 90 degrees that I almost missed the two figures, which, taken together, almost echo the appearance of a vertical window. Cutting the street off as you did does turn them into an element of design, I think - or it's a bit cynical.

There's a lot of detail here.

Thanks, Bob. I hadn't noticed the similarity of the women, as they are positioned, to the space occupied by a window. My belief is that this was inspired by childhood memories of photos of Morocco -- people walking by bright, single-colour walls.
