Newcastle High Level & Hotel (#1185)
On the right side, the roadway entrance to the High Level bridge (see adjacent picture), on the left, the Bridge Hotel. There was limited information available on the building, but the link below indicates it was opened in 1899 for John Fitzgerald (the surname on the dome); the Sir John Fitzgerald company still owns and operates the pub along with other pubs in northern England. From what I could see, the Bridge Hotel is no longer a hotel, only a pub.
