Hamilton AFB control tower (#0038)

Two of the nine hangars at the base, plus the control tower. From pictures of the base showing the condition of the base in the 1990's, it's evident that the control tower had deteriorated quite a bit after the field became inactive and all the glass had been broken out, so this is a fairly extensive renovation (see the link below).

This photo is taken from a levee that is east of the hangars. Seeing this levee left me mystified since there was no sign of an abandoned airfield and the levee was too close to the hangars for there to have been space for planes to maneuver – see the adjacent photo # 0039
