Amtrak Coast Starlight arriving at Oakland Jack London Square station. As the descriptions with the following pictures will indicate, the train took a highly unusual route getting to LA via the Tehachapi Pass

Attaching a special private car to the train. The car looks odd because the paint was stripped off, it was scheduled to be repainted. That it was being added to the train may have been due to the fact that the train was going to take an unusual inland route.

Corinthian Yacht Club clubhouse on Corinthian Island see from Blue and Gold fleet ferry to Tiburon. Per the club, the building was built in 1911 and may have been built as a folly to connect the Corinthian style columns to the name of the club and island.

Tiny sailboats off Corinthian Island seen from Blue and Gold fleet ferry to Tiburon. If you compare the sail boats to the small boat with two teenagers and an outboard motor, you get a sense of how small these sailboats are.
