Hamilton AFB enlisted barracks (#0035)
Hmmm… what are these? These tall buildings were clearly either offices or housing for single military personnel, but what rank? They have since been converted into condominiums called the Villas at Hamilton and the Villas’s webpage advertises them as having once been officers quarters. On the other hand, the museum website describes them as for enlisted and the New Deal website describes them as ‘barracks’ which would typically have indicated enlisted. They’re much nicer than any barracks that I saw when I was in the military (as enlisted), but then I also suspect that Villas doesn’t want to advertise their condos as a conversion from the ‘barracks for the common military guys’.
