Raton, NM Streamline fire (# 0010)

Raton, NM Streamline fire (# 0010)
The Raton Fire Station, built in 1930. With the ceramic tile, glass blocks, and curved corner, I would have thought this to be considered to be Streamline Moderne, but the source below describes it as ‘art deco’ and not ‘streamline moderne’. Regardless, with just a little cleaning and refurbishing (returning the covered windows on the front into windows), it would be a wonderful example of modern architecture.

My goal in taking the picture was to clearly illustrate the curve in the building, which unfortunately meant having the light pole blocking out part of the name.
