Thursday 24 April 2025 (1155) – During March 2025 Mulleys Motorways added two MCV eVolution bodied Volvo B7RLEs to the fleet acquired from Simonds of Botesdale Limited, Diss The pair, registered BT13 YWE and BT13 YWF, were new in August 2013. BT13 YWF was seen in St. Andrew’s Street South, Bury St. Edmunds arriving back from Moreton Hall on town service M33.

BT13 YWF was seen in St. Andrew’s Street South, Bury St. Edmunds working town service M33 to Moreton Hall.

Saturday 26 April 2025 (0826) – Now preserved by Eastern Bus Enthusiasts, former First Eastern Counties 574 (S574 TPW) was seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills heading to the Delaine Heritage Running Day at Bourne, Lincolnshire. It is a Wright Axcess Floline bodied Scania L94UB new in February 1999 that is preserved in the Blue Bus livery once used for Great Yarmouth area services.

Saturday 26 April 2025 (0819) – Donald’s Tours Limited, Beetley near East Dereham SV56 BWF seen heading westbound on the A11 at Fiveways, Barton Mills. It is a Plaxton bodied Volvo B12BT that had been new to Stagecoach owned Bluebird Buses (Scotland) in February 2007 operating on Megabus services. (fleet number 54012).

Thursday 24 April 2025 (1135) – The bright orange buses of Mulleys Motorways provide a striking contrast to the grey architecture of the Arc and Apex buildings in St. Andrew’s Street South, Bury St. Edmunds. Mulleys YR10 AZU, a Scania K270UB OmniCity which was new to Menzies Car Parking (number S13) in March 2010, arrives on town service M55 with the destination display already set for the next run on service M44. These two services serve the Mildenhall Road and Howard housing estates.

Thursday 20 March 2025 (1453) - Mildenhall Bus Station Left: Mulleys Motorways MUI 7949, a former Dublin Bus Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL, which I believe it was their AV202 (01 D 10202) new in December 2001/January 2002. When imported to Britain it received registration number LW51 ZMV although Mulleys re-registered it to MUI 7949 in May 2016. It was working the 1420 service 355 from Bury St. Edmunds to Beck Row. Right: Stephensons of Essex 645 (YN55 NKH), an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94D that had been new to London Sovereign (SLE39) in October 2005, working the 1400 service 16 from Newmarket to Bury St. Edmunds.

Thursday 20 March 2025 (1453) – Coach Services Limited of Thetford BJ60 BYX, a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in October 2010, seen during a driver’s break in Mildenhall Bus Station. The destination display is similar to one I first encountered in Luzern, Switzerland back in 2008 which also showed a steaming teacup but only the word ‘Pause’.

A Scania K230UB OmniLink that was new as a Scania demonstrator in July 2007 registered YN07 LHO. Following its demonstration period it first passed to Astons of Kempsey and then to DRM of Bromyard where it took on its present registration. After operation with DRM it passed to Shaws of Maxey before joining Mulleys during 2022. Mulleys have operated a number of Scania OmniCity single deckers but this is their first OmniLink – the two models having a very close resemblance. The OmniCity features a flat interior floor whereas the OmniLink features a raised floor towards the rear.

Wednesday 9 April 2025 (1248) – Coach Services Limited of Thetford BT63 UUR seen in Mildenhall Bus Station about to work the 1250 service 80 to Brandon and Thetford. It is one of a pair of MCV eVolution bodied Volvo B7RLEs acquired from Simonds of Botesdale in early 2025 although they had been new to Webberbus, Bridgwater in December 2013. (BT63 UUP was the other vehicle acquired). Coach Services has a number of route specific branded vehicles although this bus carries a panel showing the main towns the company serves.
