Monday 12 October 2026 (1703) - Mulleys Motorways LW51 ZHJ, an Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL new to Dublin Bus in January 2002 as their AV215 (01 D 10215), seen at Mildenhall. It had arrived with the 1555 schooldays only service 956 from Bury St. Edmunds Schools via Risby, Cavenham, Tuddenham, Herringswell, Red Lodge, Freckenham and Worlington and was now working the 1700 service 355 to Bury St. Edmunds via Icklingham, Lackford, Flempton etc. Upon arrival at Bury St. Edmunds it would work the 1740 service 355 to Mildenhall and then the 1810 355 Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds.

(The livery style remains from the branding of the ‘Straight 8’ East Dereham-Norwich service). I believe this service commenced at the start of the September 2026 College year and is one of eight dedicated services running on College Days for students at WSC and Abbeygate Sixth Form College from different locations each between 20-30 miles from Bury St. Edmunds. The name Zeelo is included on the destination display. That company’s website states ‘Zeelo is the smart bus platform for organizations. We design, manage and optimize transport programs to help our clients achieve their goals’. Based at East Dereham, prior to working this afternoon run the bus had spent the day working trips on service 11 (East Dereham-Swaffham) plus the morning run of the Watton-Litcham school service 851. It later worked the 1510 Watton-Thetford service 61 before working the 1625 WSC-Lakenheath service B6. The morning run of service B6 is worked by a different vehicle to that performing the afternoon run. After arriving in Bury St. Edmunds it goes on to work trips on the Thetford-Watton service 11 followed by the afternoon run of the Litcham-Watton school service 851. The day is rounded off with a Watton-Norwich-Watton-Toftwood working on services 3/3B.

Tuesday 22 September 2026 (1120) – Scroope Terrace, Trumpington Street, Cambridge is a row of historic Grade II listed 19th century buildings that house the Department of Architecture and Art History of the University of Cambridge. Built in two stages (numbers 1 to 7 in 1839 and numbers 8 to 12 in 1864) on land bequeathed to Gonville Hall College (now Gonville and Caius) by Lady Anne Scroope in 1502. Passing by is Stagecoach East 13812 (BV18 YBE) one of the partially open top Wrightbus Gemini III bodied Volvo B5TLs new in May 2018 that operate the City Sightseeing tour in Cambridge.

Tuesday 22 September 2026 (1214) – Stagecoach East buses in Regent Street, Cambridge seen from on board Stagecoach East 10791 (SN66 VZO). Left is 86011 (BV23 NRY), one of the thirty MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers (86001-86030) new in May 2023, working the Babraham Road Park and Ride service PR4. Centre is similar 86022 (BV23 NTD), new August 2023, also on service PR4 heading to Babraham Road Park & Ride. Right is 27841 (AE13 DZX), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300D new in May 2013, working cross-city service 2 from Kings Hedges to Fulbourn.

Tuesday 22 September 2026 (1043) – Cozy Travel of Sandy OY23 CYH, a Neoplan N2216 Tourliner new in July 2023 to Whippet Coaches seen at Trumpington Park & Ride, Cambridge. It still carries the Whippet fleetnumber FX37. This was the 1030 Flixbus service 066 from Cambridge (Parkside) to Brighton calling at Trumpington (1045-1050), Stratford (City Bus Station (1200-1210), Gatwick Airport (North Terminal (1330-1335 and South Terminal 1340-1345) arriving Brighton (Harrington Road 1420 and Railway Station 1430). Standing behind is Stagecoach East 86024 (BV23 NTF), one of the thirty MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers new in early 2023, working service PR3 to the City Centre.

However, before arriving at Cambridge a number of these new buses, 10809 included, were temporarily assigned to Stagecoach Merseyside (Glenvale) to provide increased capacity during railway engineering works on the Merseyrail Wirral line.

Tuesday 22 September 2026 (0952) – Trumpington Park and Ride, Cambridge. On my outing today I arrived at Trumpington Park and Ride from the City Centre on Stagecoach East 86024 (BV23 NTF), one of the thirty MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers new in early 2023. As it transpired I travelled back on the same bus about fifty minutes later. Taken from Stagecoach East 86024 (BV23 NTF) in Downing Street working service PR3 to Trumpington Park & Ride.
