Dutch coachbuilder Smit was based in Joure, Friesland. Around 1998 the company launched its Orion Stratos body but few were built before the business was acquired by Berkhof.
V801 LWT is a Berkhof built Smit badged bodied DAF SB2750 new in September 1999.
