Ulsterbus 1598 (EAZ 2598) in Dublin – 11 May 1996 (311-11A)

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx. 1440) – Ulsterbus 1598 (EAZ 2598) seen at rest near Connolly Railway Station in Dublin between trips on the Belfast to Dublin express service worked jointly with Bus Éireann. It is a Plaxton Premiere 320 bodied Volvo B10M new in April 1995.

Parked behind is another Ulsterbus vehicle in the form of 897 (JAZ 3897), an Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz 711D new in March 1996, which I think was on a private hire. My notes read that it was allocated to Downpatrick garage.

In the background is Bus Éireann VC33 (96 D 20444), a Caetano Algarve bodied Volvo B10M, which wears Eurolines livery.
This roadway which is close to the main bus station (Busáras) is now occupied by the tracks of the Luas tramway.
