Yareside Coaches (Gt. Yarmouth Borough Council) 2 (6220 WY) (FUA 386Y) at Red Lodge – 15 Sep 1991 (151-21)

Sunday 15 September 1991 – Yareside Coaches was the coaching arm of Great Yarmouth Borough Council. Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Volvo B10M number 2 (6220 WY) was new to Wallace Arnold Tours in May 1983 registered FUA 386Y.

It is seen here at the eastern end of the newly constructed Red Lodge by-pass on the A11 road in Suffolk the day before the official opening. In 24 hours time such westbound traffic would just glide along the dual carriageway to miss out Red Lodge which had for decades been populated with a number of refreshment establishments frequented by coaches travelling through to East Anglia from the West Midlands or London and the Home Counties.
