Sign on display at Lodge's Coaches museum - 24 Mar 2019 (P1000642)

Sunday 24 March 2019 – The wall inside the small museum at Lodge’s Coaches in the village of High Easter, Essex displays a fine collection of bus stops and agency signs. This one, which sits beside a similar plate displaying ‘Goodwood’, shows ‘Newmarket’. Whilst I don’t know their origins, if they are truly period, it might be said that the pair were from an operator that had quite regular horse racing meeting excursions. Quite substantial cast metal signage.
