Express Travel L707 PHE at Digbeth, Birmingham – 27 Feb 2001

Tuesday 27 February 2001 (approx. 1440) – Express Travel L707 PHE, a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M-62 new in May 1994, seen in Digbeth Coach Station, Birmingham when working the 1030 National Express service 314 from Southport to Cambridge. I travelled to Cambridge on this coach. It departed at 1506 (6 minutes late) and arrived Cambridge at 1805 (25 minutes late).

Alongside is East Yorkshire 43 (V843 JAT) working the 0825 Scarborough to Brecon National Express service 322 then Bruce of Shotts R102 PWR (named ‘Scottish Ambassador’ and in David Urquhart Travel livery) supposedly working the 0810 National Express service 539 from Bournemouth to Edinburgh where it was due at 2055. It should have left at 1400.
