Viel eindrucksvoller als die Puderzuzckerbank finde ich Euren Mammutbaum. So ein gewaltiges Exemplar! Welche Art ist es? Riesenmammutbaum oder Küstenmammutbaum? Für einen Urweltmammutbaum ist er fast zu groß und müsste auch schon keine Nadeln/Blätter mehr haben.

Danke Karsten. Es ist ein immergrüner Riesenmammutbaum, der an die 40 Jahre alt ist.
Besonders faszinierend finde ich seine rötliche Borke; sie unterscheidet sich völlig von der anderer Bäume, sie ist faserig und fühlt sich samtig an.

Danke Heide, der Mammutbaum bleibt grün, er verliert seine Nadeln nicht. Auf dem PIP sieht man links eine Stechpalme und weiter hinten einen Liguster, beide immergrün. So sieht unser Garten auch im WInter nicht kahl aus...
