Saint Gall fountain - HFF

According to an old tradition, this Irish monk passed around the 6th century through the village to preach. He made a spring gush forth "so that people could knead bread". Today's well dates back to 1852 and has a high section and an aedicula with a semicircular arch to protect the water. It's closed by a grate bearing the initials SG.

FONTAINE SAINT GALL. Selon une vielle tradition, ce moine irlandais passa par le village vers le 6ème siècle pour y prêcher. Il fait jaillir une source "afin que les gens puissent pétrir le pain". Le puits d'aujourd'hui date de 1852, il présente une partie haute et un édicule avec arc en plein cintre protège l’eau. Il est fermé par une grille sur laquelle figurent les initiales SG.

ST. GALLUS-BRUNNEN. Nach einer alten Tradition kam dieser irische Mönch um das 6. Jh. durch das Dorf, um hier zu predigen. Er liess eine Quelle hervorsprudeln, "damit die Menschen das Brot kneten konnten". Der heutige Brunnen stammt aus dem Jahr 1852. Er hat einen oberen Teil und eine Ädikula mit Rundbogen, die das Wasser schützt. Er ist mit einem Gitter verschlossen, auf dem die Initialen SG zu sehen sind.
