"Castel Meur", certainement la petite maison la plus célèbre de toute la Bretagne. Construite en 1861 par un Breton que les vents et les tempêtes n’effrayaient pas, elle tourne le dos à la mer, enchâssée entre 2 énormes blocs de granit et a résisté aux éléments depuis un siècle et demi. "Castel Meur", certainly the most famous little house in Brittany. Built in 1861 by a Breton that the winds and storms did not frighten, it turns its back to the sea, set between two huge blocks of granite and has withstood the elements for a century and a half.

The alignment of MONTENEUF is truly an exceptional site.

2° site mégalithique après Carnac : à MONTENEUF , c'est la rencontre des plus nombreux alignements de menhirs de Bretagne intérieure : on dénombre 420 monolithes et 42 pierres redressées !

The chapel with its white walls , still used today as a landmark for sailors, was built at the beginning of 17th C. as an expression of devotion, to beg Sainte Barbe for protections agains the dagers incurred by the boats and sailors. The "Johnnies" sailing from Roscoff to sell their onions on the other side of the Channel never failed to salute the saint by hoisting their flags three times.
