Toujours là, presque 2000 ans après la construction...

Bon ok, ce n'est sont que des ruines, mais toujours impressionnantes quand on pense qu'elles étaient érigées au 1er siècle... Il s'agit de la forteresse Gallo-Romaine du Rubricaire. Elle mésure env. 60 m de côté et comporte des tours d'angle (une seule est entièrement dégagée) ainsi qu'un mur intéreur entourant une cour centrale. En dehors de l'enceinte s'élèvent les ruines des thermes. Le "balneum" comprenait les services ordinaires : bains froids, étuve et bains chauds.

STILL STANDING, ALMOST 2000 YEARS AFTER IT WAS BUILT... OK, so they're just ruins, but they're still impressive when you think that they were built in the 1st century... This is the Gallo-Roman fortress of Rubricaire. Measuring around 60m on each side, it features corner towers (only one of which is fully exposed) and an inner wall surrounding a central courtyard. Outside the enclosure are the ruins of the baths. The ‘balneum’ included the usual services: cold baths, steam baths and hot baths.

NOCH IMMER DA, FAST 2000 JAHRE NACH DER ERBAUUNG... Okay, es sind nur Ruinen, aber immer noch beeindruckend, wenn man bedenkt, dass sie im 1. Jh. errichtet wurden... Es handelt sich um die gallo-römische Festung Rubricaire. Sie misst ca. 60 m im Quadrat, hat Ecktürme (nur einer ist vollständig freigelegt), eine Innenmauer und einen zentralen Innenhof. Ausserhalb der Mauer befinden sich die Ruinen der Thermen. Das "Balneum" umfasste die üblichen Einrichtungen: kalte Bäder, Dampfbad und heisse Bäder.
