Sooo lange Fühler - So long antennae

Diese etwa 1,5 cm große, weibliche Gestreifte Zartschrecke (Leptophyes albovittata) fand ich am Rand eines fränkischen Weinbergs in der Nähe von Würzburg. Sie gehört zu den Langfühlerschrecken mit Fühlern von etwa dem Vierfachen der Körperlänge (!). Diese Schreckenart kommt vor allem in Osteuropa vor und hat die westliche Grenze ihres Verbreitungsgebietes ungefähr in der Höhe von Würzburg, also dem Ort der Aufnahme des Fotos. Im Bild zu sehen ist auch die nach oben gekrümmte Legeröhre (Ovipositor).
Diese Insektenart lebt bevorzugt auf sonnigen, verbuschten Trockenrasen. Wegen des Verlustes solcher Lebensräume kommt auch die Gestreifte Zartschrecke immer seltener vor und wird deshalb in der Roten Liste der gefährdeten Tiere Deutschlands als gefährdet eingestuft.

I found this about 1.5 cm large, female Striped Bush-cricket (Leptophyes albovittata) on the edge of a Franconian vineyard near Würzburg. It belongs to the group of long-fingered grasshoppers with antennae about four times the length of the body (!). This species of grasshopper is found mainly in Eastern Europe and has the western limit of its range at about the altitude of Würzburg, the place where the photo was taken. The picture also shows the ovipositor, which is curved upwards.
This insect species prefers to live on sunny, scrubby dry grasslands. Due to the loss of such habitats, the striped grasshopper is also becoming increasingly rare and is therefore classified as endangered in Germany's Red List of Threatened Animals.
