We have reached the city Gisborne, we are greeted by the city clock tower.
In 1934, this bell tower was built, heavy earthquakes in 1931 and 1932 have caused structural damage to the main post office, in which the city clock stood.
After initial rejection by the central government for help, this tower was begun in 1933, in which today the old clock and the carillon from the main post office were installed.
