one of the bigger pools
If you come to Wai-O-Tapu, you will immediately notice it, it smells of sulfur, which steams everywhere out of the earth. In addition to the smell, it is the colors that characterize the terrain. They are derived from metals and minerals that rise from the Earth's interior, yellow (sulfur), orange (stibnite and realgar), green (orpiment), violet (permanganate), red and brown (iron oxide and oxide hydroxide) and the black of carbon.
