Heidiho ^club

Diesen Ausblick hat man tatsächlich nur vom Schiff aus. Fährt man mit dem Auto da oben rum, ist man Teil der Landschaft und kommt sich klein+unbedeutend vor, gigantische Landschaft durchweg dort oben (war selber nur auf der "Nachbarhalbinsel", Kjølleford usw.)

Danke vielmals, Heidi! Ja, als Autofahrer müsste man dafür aussteigen und einen Berg erklimmen....Dort oben ist es so karg und leer, absolut beeindruckend! Varanger würde mich mal zu Lande reizen...

Ruesterstaude

Das Kar ist wirklich beeindruckend, Gudrun! Ca. 300 m hoch erhebt sich das Plateau über den Meerespiegel (habe ich in Google Earth gesehen). Die Insel ist im Inneren unbewohnt, ohne Bewuchs und durchlöchert wie ein Schweizer Käse, sieht sehr unwirtlich aus. Am Nordkap gibt es doch sicherlich einen steifen Grog?

Herzlichen Dank, Volker! Die Landschaft ist ungemein beeindruckend in ihrer Kargheit und im Herbst gibt es jede Menge Beeren! Das Nordkapp habe ich schon seit Jahren nicht mehr besucht, zu viel Kommerz (kostet Eintritt!).
Bei der Landschaft kann man deutlich das Werk der Eiszeitgletscher sehen, Skandinavien hebt sich immer noch jedes Jahr ein bisschen (glacial rebound).

Herzlichen Dank, Edna! Ein bissle Basalt ist in der Gegend dabei, aber überwiegend Granit und Schiefer. Gehoben hat sich das Land erst nach der Eiszeit- und es hebt sich noch:-)

Schönen Dank, Leo! Die Insel ist sehr groß, da hat es reichlich Flechten. Die sammeln sich nur im Herbst am Ufer, kurz bevor sie aufs Festland schwimmen.
