Río Futaleufú

Río Futaleufú
Río Futaleufú makes a big bend before draining into Lago Yelcho. The river in its changing course- probably caused by earthquakes- has drowned a lot of trees but vegetation is clawing its way back (see inset photos).

Schönen Dank, Thomas! Vor Ort war es ein Wechselbad aus Sonne und Regen- bald danach kam wieder kräftig was runter... Westliches Patagonien eben;-)

Thanks a lot, George! It does indeed, only man isn't always included in the new equilibrium;-) The year after we were there, this area also suffered ashfall from Chaitén volcano.
