Excellent! I like the forms and shapes here. Also this could be almost anywhere. I see English 1960s houses top right, but apart from that I would be hard-pressed to guess where this was taken!

So bland and yet..... Why is part of it painted a different shade of bland. Why is there a darker rectangle on the left. What is the small white rectangle. And why is it so tall ? I did a project on walls years ago and became intrigued with humans need for walls , fences, barriers. We are so territorial.

Thanks, Andy. Yes, this could be almost anywhere. One of the revelations of travel for me. This is Toronto, though.

Some interesting thoughts, Jean. This is on the border of the original city of Toronto, which was dead set against enclosure, and the former borough of York. Until 1995 you had to have special permission to build a fence over 8 inches tall in Toronto (those fences to the right were in York, but would probably have been allowed in Toronto for safety). In 1995, though, the province amalgamated Metropolitan Toronto, the suburbs eliminated some of Toronto's bylaws, and fences started springing up in the old city. You're right -- Enclosure R Us.
