Buddle Bridge ~ Lyme Regis.

Buddle Bridge ~ Lyme Regis.
The window on the left is a dining room in The Rockpoint Inn, where my two daughters took me for a delicious meal. The PiP's are of the views we had from our window seat.
Buddle Bridge is Grade I Listed and was built in the 14th century. It carries Bridge Street over the River Lym as it flows out into the sea. It is of local stone rubble dressed with the same material, the segmental-pointed arch has a span of 18 ft. The soffit, or underarch, originally comprised four chamfered ribs but two have been removed, and the road was widened on both sides in 1913. The stone parapet includes a delightful quatrefoil design.

I like this collection of pictures Rosa, especially the main one. I love the depth of the scene provided by your great PoV and that lovely light on the water Beyond the bridge. Thanks for the interesting notes.

All the best, Doug
