A sheltered spot for a house but somewhat lacking in a view !! do you think it is natural or been quarried in the past? what a damp dark day, Happy Dewali Rosalyn

It had a view of the pub from the other side Peter. There was a Poxwell Quarry somewhere near but I'm not sure where. I think it still produces a small amount of stone, so it's probably not by the coastal village. Whether it ever was, I don't know.

New place to me Rosalyn, looks a bit wild and those properties seem perilously close to the cliff front but they do have a stunning view.

A bit too close for my liking Maurice. The Jurassic coast has its fair share of cliff falls.

A beautiful view across the landscape to the water...........I love the way the house is tucked away in the folds of the land but I assume there is a view in front of it to the sea. Some lovely detail and earthy colours in the landscape. The light is lovely too.

The image of the village in the PiP is very attractive...........I like the splashes of red in the foreground.

I hope your having a good weekend Rosa. It's done nothing but rain all day here, with more forecast for tomorrow :(

The view in front of the house in the hollow was of the pub, so not too bad ;-)) I will go back next spring and walk more of the coast path and hopefully investigate the village a bit more.

En la fotografía superior parece que la casa se hizo en el hueco buscando el socaire de la mar.
La inferior es muy buena, con nitidez y color extraordinarios. Al elevarse el terreno, crea la sensación óptica de que estuvieran todas las casas en un mismo plano.

The style of the house was very 1950's, but it could be older. A lot of the houses in the village were made from wood and looking very nice painted pale blue. A very hilly village but I can see what you mean in the PiP. Wish you a good Sunday Jose.

Two lovely photos, the houses in the main one look well hidden and sheltered! I guess you didn't meet too many people on the coast path that day.

Best of both worlds being sheltered yet close to the sea. I met three couples along the path and we all took care to pass carefully, being very mindful of social distancing. I was pleased that it was no busier. Thank you for your very nice comments Gudrun.

What a gorgeous location. That little house seems to be well sheltered nestling into the dip.

It is lovely there Amelia. It can get very busy in the summer. The excellent pub draws a lot of people.
