A stroll through Chania

Looks very inviting Herb nicely composed composition which bought back some memories for us. Many moons ago we stayed in a hotel in southern Italy like this, from the outside it looked slummy, rundown, any decoration long bleached by the heat and the sun and looked nothing like the brochure we chose it from. Our hearts sank as we wondered what we were coming to. Inside it was upbeat, modern, spotlessly clean and became the focus of one of the best holidays we ever had.

Good to see you Maurice. I know this type of street and hotel is familiar not only in Greece but Italy and Spain too. You cannot always gauge a hotel from the outside, but this looked pretty good and we did peek inside here (as the doors opened and someone came out) and it looked very beautiful indeed. Glad it stirred memories for you.
