Crawton Cliffs towards Dunottar Castle

Crawton Cliffs towards Dunottar Castle
Enjoy this North facing view from the end of the the Fowlsheugh Nature reserve at Crawton Cliffs. You get a better idea of the sea-bird population with the PiP maybe. These are mostly guillemots at this time of year.

Enjoy large.

An amazing shot Herb...........and a unbelievable quantity of guillemots and other sea birds. It's also a beautiful bit of coastline and you've captured it superbly!

I particularly like the closer view in the PiP.............just brilliant!

So glad that you have chosen to visit this photo too. I thought I would just have the other as a pip but as you seem to suggest, that one is possibly more attractive than this so I have made that a public picture too. Yes, a great bit of coast here and as said in my intro, one can just about make out the castle and ruins on the far headland too. Our cottage was at Johnshaven, about 10 miles south of here. Just after the castle comes Stonehaven and after that, Aberdeen at about 14 miles north from this spot.

Cheers, Herb

It was indeed my friend. It is always good when we can see the birds at this close range. As it is a Nature Reserve, there are proper paths and fences to protect both man and birds, besides ample warning notices about going near nest. My shots here are mostly taken with long lens's (except this one:) )
