Crawton Cliffs and waterfall

It looks like very cold water.

The waters around Britain are always cold. Up here in North East Scotland it is even colder. And here, dangerous too.

A good shot Herb'... The birds in the 'pip' give a clearer scale to the fall... which is much taller than it appears in the main picture...

A great perspective Herb. This image really shows the power of the sea as the waves come through the gap onto the cliffs. The waterfall almost pales into insignificance, beautiful though it is. What amazes me is throughout it all, sea birds nonchalantly continue to nest on the vertical cliff walls and float around on the surface of the sea.............and incredible sight and superbly photographed.

Another considered comment from you Keith. You voice, so many times, exactly what I think as I snap such views. I will post at least another cliff view to demonstrate more fully how many birds were there. A great place to explore and share our fabulous coastline.

A spectacular gorge and wave action, with the waterfall an unusual bonus. As Keith notes, the birds seem totally unconcerned about the wave action. Great images.

Thanks Rosa. Ipernities PiPs do really good at showing or pinpointing a part of the picture for closer viewing. From where I was standing, the waterfall seemed a good 30ft high if not more. I have some with a rainbow effect too but looking blurred somehow. Glad you liked it all.
