Storm lighting at Rossbeigh.

That's great, Herb. What a fantastic coastview. I think it was very stormy?

The stuff that landscape photography books are full off Lothar. This view, we had practically from our window, and so we could see when the lighting was good -and that was often. Just like you, I enjoyed this one too. The storms came back even worst at the end of this day through the night and next day again. Cheers, for enjoying this with me, Herb

There is an mood of apprehension about this image...............you said it yourself, "the storm has gone for the time being", and everything in the frame indicates that it's coming back!

Dark foreboding skies, the turbulent seas, and particularly that light............they all add up to more stormy weather!

I could be talking rubbish I suppose............and you may tell me the sun came out shortly afterwards..!!

Oh, and I just love the solo walker on the sands. He or she looks very insignificant in the scene! A terrific image Sir!

Keith -what can I say! Most of what you say here is absolutely true. It did come back -with a vengeance! You are right about the sun coming out later in the day too, as you will shortly see in more postings of today's tour before an unforgettable evenings photography. You talk rubbish -Never my friend! I am glad you spotted the figure on the beach. I had originally called this 'A morning walk'. Anyway -very happy indeed that I managed to impress you again with my feeble efforts here :)

Who needs blue skies when you can have this! The sunlight on the sea and beach has that typical quality it has after a storm when everything turns very bright suddenly. It makes a striking contrast to the threatening clouds in the background and I just love the lone walker!

Always good to know that you are still enjoying my photos here Gudrun. As you say, blue skies are not everything. To me the tops of the waves looked appealing as well as this broody sky. The lone walker was a gift!

A lovely setting, dramatic weather and great light. What more could a photographer want? Oh, ok, a tiny figure on the beach to give a sense of scale. You ticked all the boxes here, Herb.
