Bald eagle on nest

Bald eagle on nest
The bald eagles at Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge have started incubating their eggs. I watched this one for a half hour, and this was the highest it raised its head.

Un habitat confortable tout là haut, oui pas facile à faire sans doute !
Bonne nouvelle semaine Ronald.

Merci beaucoup, Jocelyne. The eagles built this nest about 12 years ago when the tree that held their previous nest was blown down in a storm, killing one of their two babies.

It must be quite comfortable so the babies have a nice safe place to grow.

When the babies hatch, one of the adults will be fishing almost all the time.

Thank you, Maurice. It is good my camera has a good zoom lens, because this nest is several hundred meters from the road. Betty Wetherbee gets closer views of bald eagles.

Thanks so much, Betty. I've been watching this pair for over ten years. They're good photo subjects and good parents.

Thanks, Dörthe. This nest is near some lakes in a wildlife refuge. By early February they are feeding their little ones.
