The end of the canal walk for today. Beautiful weather, and now back to Llangollen for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat.

Llangollen Canal walk on a beautiful Sunday in Dec…

These canal boats take tourists on trips on the canal. There is a winding hole to the west of this point, about 500 metres away. From that point westwards there is no access for barges, but it's possible to canoe on this canal and then get down to the River Dee for some good white water action.

What a wonderful walk this is, especially for those who can't hope to climb the high peaks. Great scenery and views around every corner, and wide open skies. Just my cup of tea really.

TSC. The Sunday Challenge

11 Dec 2016 21 37 438
The Sunday Challenge: What if each one of us chooses a Christmas card with the wishes texts written in our own language, and the card being photographed in a place that best represent Christmas spirit for the photographer? My Photoshop skills are really useless, so I had to wait until it got dark and we were having our evening meal with a glass of wine before I had the chance to get down to it. This card is one of this year's which we have received - the only one with clear writing on it. Our Christmas tree isn't up yet, but we fetched our decorations box down from the loft and I just used a couple of baubles, a little mirror heart and added a candle.

A Puddock sat by the Lochan's brim. (PiP)

A 'Puddock' is a frog. A 'Lochan' is a small pond or lake. Around this pond were wood carvings, one of a toadstool (just seen in the background), one of a frog, and another of an owl. I haven't been able to find out who the wood carver is - yet. To listen to this Scottish poetry go here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF2jN3MgCYY This woodland lochan was frozen
