I like this style of architecture very much ~ it is very pleasing to the eye. How are your floods doing?

We were in Shrewsbury on Sunday, and the river was about 2-3 metres lower than it was 2 weeks ago, but not all of the riverside pathways were open. It has been mostly dry this week with strong winds so I expect things in town are slowly returning to normal. There are a few skips around with wet furniture, bedding and carpets in them. Luckily much of the town is on a hill so only the properties closest to the river were flooded. It was weird getting in to town when all but one of the entry roads were closed. No traffic! The Severn around here has a big flood plain before it reaches Shrewsbury, and the town has good flood barriers on one side of the river, but places downstream have really suffered. Ironbridge is situated in a narrow gorge, and the lower town was very badly affected. Even Boris made a visit - eventually. ;-)))

A beautiful building. The blue and white colour scheme combined with the blue sky is lovely.
