MANKIND ALSO GAVE MUCH TO THIS PLANET. NOT ALL ARE DESTROYERS... THERE ARE MANY WHO CREATED MUCH BEAUTY

But if we make a balance... we trashed more than created anything positive.

Two planets talking each other: How are you? Says a different planet to the earth. Not so good, I'm sick, the earth means. Ohh the other planet says, you have parasits, called mankind, - thats goes over!

Exactly what I think ! One day we will be eradicated, or we will eradicate ourselves persevering in our unsustainable way of life and priorities...

An excellent metaphor, Karsten, you could not have written it better (unfortunately mankind is a big error made by nature)...
On the one side I agree with Pam: mankind is not only a destroyer but also creator of much beauty, in music, art, poetry, architecture. But all these wonderful things are not necessary for the Earth to exist, but on the contrary, we are are burden!!

Awesome documentary capture and sadly so true. Humanity, the most destructive creature ever.

Stay well!

Nautilus has replied to Luc Reiniche club

A wonderful image and sentiment for World Photography Day, some times the fire can be a good thing it clears the rampant vegetation and allows the more delicate plants to re-establish

Xata club has replied to Peter Castell club
This for sure when they were natural fires, not criminal uncontrolled ones. Mother Earth always regulate herself, but now she has to get rid of us before we kill all other species...

It was intentional and the arson has been identified and caught. But this wont give back what is lost. Also 14 dogs emprisonned in an ilegal kennel died… and all the little ones in the wild…

A very poignant image, Isabel. And unfortunately we are indeed systematically destroying our home. Wilfully, I might add. Much like the arsonist here, we are well aware of of what we are doing but persist in placing nearsighted, selfish considerations ahead of the needs of the planet and turning a blind eye to the dismal mess we are leaving to the future generations by way of inheritance.

An intense photo for World Photography Day. But beautiful also. It reminds me of the ash from Mount St. Helens which fell on our city. The ash seems to soak up the light that falls on it.

How far away is this from your home?

About 15 km. We could see it from here: Monte Gordo, Fires, UNDER CONTROL NOW.
