BUSH FIRES BUT STRONG WIND TOO, STARTED LAST NIGHT AT 01:00AM.
THE SMELL, THE EXCRUCIATING HEAT, SOME PEOPLE HAD TO BE MOVED AND I FEEL SO SORRY FOR ALL THE ANIMALS THAT PERISH IN HORROR AND SUFFERING...

THE AREA YESTERDAY EVENING (BUT EXTENDED DURING THE NIGHT):

VIEW FROM TOP OF BUILDING :

ABOUT 600 FIREFIGHTERS IN SITU AND 9 PLANES...

ANIMALS FROM THE SHELTER (OVER 200 DOGS AND I DONT REMEMBER HOW MANY CATS) HAD TO BE PREVENTIVELY REMOVED AND PLACED WITH VOLUNTEERS.
SOME PEOPLE LOST EVERYTHING BUT NO DEATHS TO REPORT.

I hope it comes nowhere near you. The smoke may, though - the fires on the Canadian side of the border above us have drifted down to us several times this summer for a few days at a time.This is becoming a terrible time for so many.

The storms, water and fire have caused a lot of damage this year, I don't even want to know how many animals have died, apart from the fact of how many people have lost their belongings and Good. It's horrible !!!.

Une scène atroce et lamentable tout comme chez nous..Le feu n'est pas encore maîtrisé et il s'est encore propagé vers d'autres départements. Beaucoup d'animaux sauvages et domestiques ont perdu la vie ( Surtout le cheptel ovins et bovins. )
La chaleur hier était de 48°.
