Mostly pork and chicken meat is sold out at the market. Sometimes people offer the meat of exotic animals too which is unfortunately common all across Laos.
Surinphone Royal Hotel in Luang Namtha

This is a three star high class hotel in Luang Namtha, not expected to find such a deluxe hotel at this place. The prices are reasonable but it wasn't attended much by the travelers. Other nice places to stay are more idyllic and calm. I'll report about the Boat Landing Guest House and Restaurant in one of my next postings.

Luang Namtha means the City beside the river Tha. Archaeological evidence including stone tools found in the Nam Jook River Valley in Vieng Phoukha and cliff paintings near Nale suggest that Luang Namtha Province was inhabited as early as 6,000 years ago.
