The village of Shimshal at 3,800 meters in the Pamir Mountains of North Pakistan. In this very remote subsistence farming community animals like this yak, and other livestock, are shut in pens at night to avoid predation by snow leopards - which is quite common, or wolves. This was 2C as the sun was going down on an autumn afternoon. Animal home time.
Also note…everything is of stone….this is very harsh terrain.
