HFF. Remnants

HFF et Bon Weekend.

During our trip, back then many years ago, we had a bus from Alice to the north of the island.
The driver kept telling us that it would be the biggest thing if he could tell us soon that a bend would come in about 30 min...
Unfortunately, I only made Super 8 movies at the time, which are not compartbel here...

Quite a surreal sight Diana! A great shot. I was intrigued so had to look it up. I love the name of the mine, - 'Day Dream Mine' - I guess people had to chase their dreams elesewhere when it closed. HFF and have a good weekend

It's amazing and somewhat disconcerting to see a signpost in the middle of the desert. The remains of the fence have no use now/

I was there in1975 as a trainee telecoms technician.My boss and I were testing new telephone lines to Broken Hill which would allow the manual exchange to be closed and Silverton numbers to be automatic on the Broken Hill exchange.
