Nice one, Di. I love these mounds...
My students and I made 10,000 bricks using crushed termite-mound mixed with cement and fired them in a home-made kiln! They were great!

In Gutu Communal Lands, Zimbabwe. The soil was too sandy, and for whatever reason, the crushed mounds made a better mix!

I was there for 3 years...2 out in the bush, and 1in a town on the border with Mozambique, teaching building and woodwork as a volunteer.
