The roadside factory
Just after leaving Pakse, in southern Laos, we saw a roadside workshop where agricultural tools were being made from scrap iron with basic but imaginative equipment.
The first PiP shows the forge for heating the iron - essentially an electric blower put to imaginative use. The second PiP shows the anvil - something of a concern, it is a "recycled" 125 mm artillery shell !
