A Steep Ascent

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an absolute marvel, going from the desert floor to the top of San Jacinto mountain (8,516 feet.) It's become very popular though, so even off-season and during the week you have to get tickets beforehand.

This car was just leaving, we were waiting for the other to arrive (they cross in the middle.) It's quite a ride!
