Fine images, but the young really do seem to feel they are impervious - and tonight on the news I saw the protest march in Germany against restrictions.

Yes, that is true. On the protest march they were not very young but middle age people (30 - 60) most of them. Clearly older than the usual youth and student protest marchs. The majority in Germany is very compliant though.

A great series of night exposures, Henning! Regarding the young and covid, they are not getting ill to nearly the degree as us older folks, and, like Isabel said, it is probably nearly impossible for them to stay locked down. By contrast, the 1918 flu pandemic killed more healthy young men and women than any other age group, which is why the death toll was so astronomical.

Ich staune immer wieder, wieviel Unvernunft und Ignoranz es doch gibt ! Niemand ist sicher ! Aber das ist wohl schwer zu begreifen. Und wieviele Menschen mit einem abstrusen Verständnis der Wirklichkeit es gibt, hat man gestern in Berlin gesehen.

Als Angehöriger der mittleren Generation muss ich mal eine Lanze für die Jungen brechen. Ja, auch hier sehe ich immer wieder Gruppen Jugendlicher am Ahrufer sitzen - aber immerhin draussen, an der frischen Luft, wo nach Meinung auch der meisten Wissenschaftler Ansteckungen eher unwahrscheinlich sind. Was ich aber auch sehe, sind sehr gut besetzte Restaurants und Cafés - und dort tummeln sich ganz überwiegend Ältere, was hier in Bad Neuenahr natürlich eh eine überrepräsentierte Gruppe darstellt. Und viele sitzen drinnen, in geschlossenen Räumen, wo die Gefahr einer Übertragung durch Aerosole deutlich höher ist als draussen. Und viel Abstand wird dort auch nicht eingehalten. Am Vorsichtigsten scheint mir da meine Alterskohorte, also die noch beruflich Aktiven zwischen Ende 40 und Mitte 60 zu sein...

Sehr schöne Nachtaufnahmen - man wünscht sich doch eigentlich nichts mehr wie Normalität.
