A threatening fence for sure !

Difficult to understand why some people think it would be OK to swim in the deep water, there has been loss of life in some of the pits around here with trespassers swimming in the waters.

It does need all the signs and fences, I cannot see any deep water from the road:-) HFF, Roger!

Behind the fence and trees is a man made embankment, of excavated soil, about 10-15 metres high adjacent this road. No idea exactly how deep the pit is, but it can be seen through the trees from another road; have a great new week Gudrun.
