Curious name--I assume it's not because they held trigonometry classes there! ;)

Thanks for looking in; curious yes, but 'Trig', is as in trigonometry, the 'Trig Point' as used for Ordnance Survey (OS) mapping etc. a network of these can be found all over the countryside giving useful bearings to the next point or way mark.

Ah--so there _is_ trig involved! ;)
