A lovely set of images Rosa, The Ship looks to be an old coaching Inn and has had an interesting history I suspect.

Yes a beautiful coaching Inn Roger. I guess it's better as dwellings than to be left to deteriorate.

Anyway, this is a nicely composed shot. I love the sunshine and the architecture, especially that rather beautiful clock tower.

The Old Ship Inn looks really beautiful from the outside..........such a shame that it's no longer a pub..............but I suppose housing is also needed in these countryside towns as well. Nice to see they kept the sign though.

Love the cat in the window..............personally, I'd love some sunshine to bask in!

It was a Sunday Keith ;-)) Yes a real shame to lose the Old Ship Inn. It was always a happy and lively place to meet up with friends. I was astonished when I heard it was closing down.

Cat's always find the sunniest, warmest place! I think we could all do with a little basking in the sunshine :-)

Ha ha, I would happy work for Mere's Tourist Board, even unpaid! I have always liked the place. It's very friendly and has a good vibe!

Estupendo reportaje. En la foto de presentación se ve un aspecto general del pueblo, destaca la torre reloj. El primer PiP me gusta mucho esa fachada de piedra bien iluminada y ventanas blancas con mosaico de cristales. El gato ya no caza ratones, ni aunque los hubiera.

A nice set here Rosa. We too used to have three county lines near us (Lancashire, West Riding of Yorkshire and Derbyshire), all in a radius of about 3 miles but now that has changed somewhat. So many of the old pubs and hotels converted to flats and apartments now. A shame really.

Bourton in Dorset is the only part of Dorset north of the A303.
In Wincanton one of the banks is now the Police Station. It's nice to have them back in the middle of the town.

You're so lucky to be able to visit 3 attractive counties so easily, Rosa. I love the mellow stonework of the clock-tower and the ex-pub. I like you don't think the cat would bother with any mouse, but I'd like to change places with it. Just to sit in a warm, comfortable and sunny window would be magic.

It is nice to go from county to county so easily. The clock tower is particularly attractive I have always thought. If only we could be as relaxed as this cat, in the sunshine Amelia :-))
