Mere, Wiltshire.
Mere is just 6 miles (10km) from where I live, but the journey there takes me through 3 counties. My home in Somerset, through Bourton in Dorset and on to Mere in Wiltshire.
The first PiP is the Old Ship Inn, which is now flats. It used to be a good and lively meeting place until about 6 years ago.
The second PiP is a cat doing what cats do best....finding the best place in the sunshine!

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubAnyway, this is a nicely composed shot. I love the sunshine and the architecture, especially that rather beautiful clock tower.
The Old Ship Inn looks really beautiful from the outside..........such a shame that it's no longer a pub..............but I suppose housing is also needed in these countryside towns as well. Nice to see they kept the sign though.
Love the cat in the window..............personally, I'd love some sunshine to bask in!
Enjoy the rest of your week Rosa :-)
PS: I've just searched your photo-stream for photos you've taken in Mere.............are you working for their Tourist Board?
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton clubCat's always find the sunniest, warmest place! I think we could all do with a little basking in the sunshine :-)
Ha ha, I would happy work for Mere's Tourist Board, even unpaid! I have always liked the place. It's very friendly and has a good vibe!
Thanks for all your kind and amusing comments. Have a good evening Keith.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Herb Riddle clubBourton in Dorset is the only part of Dorset north of the A303.
In Wincanton one of the banks is now the Police Station. It's nice to have them back in the middle of the town.
Cheers, Rosa.
