Oh dear...........the arch does look like a bit of a mess! Glad most of your lovely flowers survived!

A wonderfully colourful collage Rosa...........with a nice selection of blooms. Beautifully captured and presented.

We had some damage to our fence..........one of the posts snapped off at the base and I just found it in time this morning to stop it from collapsing completely. I had about 6ft of scaffolding pole in the shed so I've hammered that into the ground next to the broken post and tied them together with rope. It should be OK until Monday when I can get someone out to fix it.

It has been there for about 12 years Keith. It must have been quite rotten in the ground. I will miss it, but most of all I will miss the rose that climbed it. It was called Ginger Syllabub :(

Oh dear, you as well! Such a nuisance, especially when you think how nice the weather has been recently! I hope you get it fixed OK.

I'm so sorr to lread that your Rose #7 #arch got battered to bits in the high winds. I hope that at least one cutting takes. Could you not graft one cutting to the remain rroot, it might grow vigorously. Best wishes ~ Nick

Excellent collage you put together there. It was a bit draught the night before last Rosalyn, I don't know where the shed roof went it's not outside on the green. Still it was due for renewal.

Very sad about the rose arch though.. I don't know what to suggest though.. I am not a horticultural expert! I do see sense in what Nick says.. If the roots are good, it might work!

A beautiful floral collage. You put these together in such a creative way. So sorry about the rose arch. What a sad sight. I expect the rose was grafted onto the rootstock. Is any part of it still attached to the root ? If so it might regenerate from that. Or you could just take this as a chance to have something completely different.

Good morning Rosalyn a beautiful collection of flowers, your rose arch is a sorry sight, if the rose broke above the graft it might regrow, why not replace the arch and plant a new one the other side of the path it should be far enough away from the old one. I hope you have a pleasant day

Good morning Peter. I haven't checked today, but I think the rose broke right at ground level. I'll leave it a while and see what happens. It has sentimental value, so I hope it does sprout a new shoot. I have an idea to replace the rose arch....I will reveal if it works :-) The other side of the arch is honeysuckle. Sunday greetings.
