You're quite correct though.............the view is superb (such a shame the occupants can't appreciated it)............but at least their visitors (and passing photogrpahers) can.

This is a beautifully composed image Rosa...........I love the old gravestones and the cottage looks quite lovely. I love the verdant countryside and the diffused light is gorgeous. A cracking shot!

I have always been impressed by these 'English cemeteries', which are not exactly cemeteries as we understand them in Italy, where we have always locked the graves within precise fences.
But graves around a Parish, free in their gardens... I ve always liked walking around them, reading their inscriptions with serene involvement. Sometimes so old that they are forcefully neglected .
I always thought it was a way of keeping the dead alive through the living.
It is said that Italians are superstitious :-) I am not!
So I admire this beautiful evocative image of you!
I miss it a lot England!!!

I have been fascinated by graveyards in places abroad that I have been Bea. Unfortunately I have not been to Italy. We can learn so much in the churchyards, and some of the graves are so sad, and we realise how lucky we are nowadays, despite what is happening now. So much social history. I often leave them with a tear in my eye.
