What's on the box!

What's on the box!
Bootmakers, Market Place, Wincanton, is a creative arts and crafts workshop for children. It has a cafe with a wood fired pizza oven. The building used to be a solicitor's office, but the new owners have painstakingly taken the building back to its original state and named it after one of its former occupants who were bootmakers and menders.

You have framed this shot very well. What is the significance of of the cardboard boxes Rosa? They seem too big to be designed to carry pizza ~ All the best ~ Nick

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Nick Weall club
Thank you very much Nick. I think the paintings on the boxes were done by the owners at one of their craft sessions. They often change the window dressings. I have never been in there but the pizza oven sounds very tempting ;-)) Best wishes, Rosa.

From a solicitor's office to a a workshop for children, plus cafe and pizza...great job!
I love this window shop and its reflection and the way you framed the shop, Rosa! Have you taken Sophie there? ;-)

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Adele club
It was empty for a while Adele, so we were all pleased to see it occupied again, and by such a wonderful business. I haven't taken Sophie there yet but I would like to. She lives a little way away from me and usually comes here at weekends...and we have just bought a new tree swing for the garden as she is getting bigger :) Thank you for your kind comments.

Such a great idea..................I like the window display Rosa - frames within frames!

I'm sure the kids (and parents) will love it!

Did someone say pizza? I'm in! :-))

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton club
There are always lots of children in there each time I have passed by. To be honest I didn't know they had a cafe until I noticed the sign when taking Luna for a walk!!

For market research purposes, I suppose I will just have to try a pizza then ;-))

A big difference to the tacky shop windows of most town centres. They need the transmitter with the circles going round to go with the test card ( Thought it was a nasty rumour but I am getting old !!!!!!!! )

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell club
It's only a small town Peter, with some lovely buildings, often by-passed by people on their way to Devon and Cornwall. Don't believe the rumours Peter ;-)

It most certainly was Amelia. I don't know what's going on but I switched the TV on last night for the local news and had Midlands news!! I haven't had a coffee in there yet, but I will let you know when I do :)

Hi Rosa

Very nice idea to put all those TV's in the window!!

Superb photo of it too!

I was sad when we lost the test card, it made my job a lot more difficult..

Best Wishes, and a good weekend

Hi Peter,

The test card is more interesting than many of the dreadful prog's on TV these days. Who is sad enough to watch Love Island :-( Too many is probably the answer! Did you repair televisions then?

Best regards, Rosa.
