Nice views on both. I like the tree-row and the walls - that white stuff isn't absolutely necessary for a good capture but can be tolerated ... ;-)

Thank you Leon. The trees do look very nice in the summer. We get a lot of club cyclists along this road and many stop at the top of the hill to take in the view.

I've just dug my car out of drifted snow to fetch more logs for the fire! Most of the main roads are clear, but the side road, which is a short cut, was not worth chancing. Fed up with the weather now, but this looks nice here.

Some and some here as well Amelia. Luckily we have lots of logs. I pass this place every time I go into town but rarely stop. I will walk up in springtime and sit there a while :-)

Both very nice scenes Rosa looking out over what must be a great view on a clear day.

Have a good evening, Doug

Thank you Doug. There was a lovely low mist over it last week and I didn't have my camera with me!

Have a good Sunday.

I think the man from "Gillette" might have got his inspiration from here.

The views seem very familiar to me and I don't know why - I don't recognise the name!
Both are terrific shots!

I had put summer views from here on Panoramio in the past Andy. It is the hill between Bayford and Wincanton. This used to be the main road to Exeter....thank goodness we have the A303 now! Thanks for your kind comments.

Andy Rodker club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne club
That could be it, Rosa.
Yes the A303 vs the A30. I can't remember when the A303 took over as the main Trunk road to the southwest. Sometime in the late 60s or early 70s, perhaps? Do you know? I do recall driving past Stonehenge on one particular trip down to Cornwall with the family and with my French school exchange partner and that was in 1973, so it would have been before then; but nor long before because I don't recall viewing Stonehenge on journeys down from London before about that time.
Have a good week!

You would still go past Stone Henge now Andy. That hasn't changed unfortunately! That's about 20 miles away from here. They started building the by-pass around the mid 1970's. Probably 76! I lived in North Wiltshire then but do remember all the roadworks when I used to visit the parents down here. They are still talking about by-passing the stones...it is desperately needed but feels like it will take another 20 years!!!
You have a good week too Andy.

The bench must be tempting in warmer weather, the view is gorgeous at all times:-)

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Gudrun club
There are three benches there Gudrun, so in the summer there can be quite a gathering.
Thank you for your kind comments.

The snow is all gone now Frans. Quite right, I should always carry a camera. I didn't even have my phone on me and that takes good pic's!

Interesting landscape!
I still haven't found any daffodils yet, even though the snow is gone!

Yes and thank goodness it was only for 4 days in this area. On the higher ground I still see snow in the distance. Yes, spring is around the corner :)
Thank you for all your great comments.
