Athelhampton House & Gardens

Alfred Cart de Lafontaine built the formal gardens in 1891. Francis Inigo Thomas designed 4 Hamstone courts in Elizabethan style. After 100 years the 12 giant pyramid topiary spectacles stand over 30ft (10m) high.

Lovely photos, Rosa, truly magnificent gardens, with those majestic topiary specimens. I certainly wouldn't want the job of trimming them!!... They would use a cherry picker for that job. Nice photo... John.
