Ooo. Hoist by my own petard. :-) Of course, they were just getting started. Looking at this photo reminds me of how I used to be fascinated by the brass tacks on furniture of that period. Weird.

Looks to me like the kids have been corralled together for a photo, but they're chomping at the bit to go play with their Christmas toys. And, as you observed, it's interesting that both your photo and Deborah's have those tapestries.
